Bioinvasion of Foreign and Genetically Engineered Species
An incident of invasion by a living species into entirely new habitat thereby threatening the existence of native species is called as bioinvasion or Biological Invasion.

It is due to frequent oil spills that sea otters, many sea birds, whales and many other species of the marine environment have become endangered. The oil spill damages fisheries and Mari culture, and causes serious economic losses to the local public and the governments.
Different types of plants and animals have been blessed with peculiar and important merits. These merits are expressed in plants and animals due to specific genes found in them.
A population is a group of individuals (all members of a single species) who live together in the same habitat and are likely to interbreed. Each population has a unique physical distribution in time and space. It may contain individuals of different ages, and its size (density) is likely to change over time. It grows or shrinks according to the reproductive success of its members.
There are many different types of technologies or technological models- such as Low-tech, Hi-tech, alternative, intermediate, appropriate, blended, hard, and soft technologies.
Varieties of Biological Resources are in international demand today. To meet this international demand, illegal smuggling of these resources is done through illegal routes. Some species of plants and animals have been threatened, rare, endangered or critically endangered due to such practices. Several valuable species of plants and animals have become extinct due to these activities. The international trade in animal body parts is increasing rather rapidly due to their high prices in the international markets. Where possible, the trade of whole animals is also in full swing.
Students of the Department of Engineering in Chowdhari Charan Singh University, Meerut,India, have developed specific unit to process the in campus waste and turn it into manure. The garbage treatment Unit is called as Garbage Clinic by them.
Both the banyan and tamarind trees have large canopy and plenty of leaves. These produce lots of oxygen and absorb lots of carbon dioxide. Thus, besides numerous other benefits they keep up the balance of environment.
Many ferns grow along north or west facing walls every year. Their spores might have been there in crevices during the dry season. Unless there is a supply of water from leaking pipe they complete their life cycle within the rainy season and pack up with the passing rains. They pass away and leave for us a lesson to remain happy and survive in hard conditions.
Some propagules or seeds incidentally travel long distances and reach to other county. There they germinate and produce new plants.
The scarcity of oxygen and the need of producing more and more oxygen! We may think for sometime about it. But, anyone knows that life is not possible without it.
The Wind is Air in Motion. It is caused by differential heating of land, water, hills and mountain slopes by sun rays. About 25 % (i.e., 0.34 KW/m2) of incident solar radiation is dissipated as wind energy. There is kinetic energy in wind.
