Games and Sports: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
Games are essential for physical and mental development of children.

It is the unthinkable huge magnitude of all the ill effects of pollution and its ever-increasing nature, which has forced the whole of humanity to do a great deal of serous thinking about its attitude towards the relationships with the natural environment.
The conditions of a habitat remain changing abruptly and periodically. Abrupt changes in environment often do not give time to an organism to get ready and to face the challenges. As such the organism can survive only when it has sufficient abilities to tolerate these changes.
The dictionary meaning of a shelter is – something beneath, behind, or within which a person, animal or anything is protected from adverse conditions, and where it can reproduce is called as a shelter.
Mixing of different types of substances in soil- which affects its natural qualities, and reduces its fertility- is called as soil pollution. Some environmentalists define soil pollution as – build-up of toxic chemical compounds, salts, pathogens or radioactive materials in soil that can affect plant and animal life adversely, is called as soil pollution.
Different types of plants and animals have been blessed with peculiar and important merits. These merits are expressed in plants and animals due to specific genes found in them.
Ecosystems can be categorised into two broad categories: natural and artificial. Natural Ecosystems are those ecosystems that operate by themselves under natural conditions. These ecosystems are further categorized as Terrestrial and Aquatic Ecosystems. Terrestrial ecosystems relate to lands, whereas Aquatic ecosystems relate to fresh or marine water. Freshwater ecosystems may be Lotic or Lentic. Lotic are running water ecosystems like springs, streams or rivers, whereas Lentic Fresh Water Ecosystems may be found in standing waters of lakes, ponds, pools, puddles, ditches, swamps, etc. Marine Ecosystems are found in marine waters of salt lakes, seas, oceans and estuaries. Artificial Ecosystems are man-engineered ecosystems like crop fields, artificial ponds and lakes, aquaria, fish ponds, and abandoned mines reclaimed as lakes or water bodies for recreation.
Some specific characters are found in the parents of each species. These characters are transferred from generation to generation through the process of sexual reproduction.
Ever since the earth was inhabited, humans and other life forms have depended on things that exist freely in nature to survive. These things include water (seas and fresh water), land, soils, rocks, forests (vegetation), animals (including fish), fossil fuels and minerals. They are called Natural Resources and are the basis of life on earth.
Biodiversity sources and also other sources supply raw materials to many important industries.
They have aesthetic value and an appeal for ecotourism, which supports the growth of the national economy. They are also potential sources of pharmaceuticals, other chemicals, agricultural materials, etc.
Pharmaceutical products of biodiversity origin offer important medicines to our healthcare systems and prepare a background for many social services. Besides these, biodiversity offers various ecosystem services as each of the numerous species of animals and plants depends on other animals or plants for survival, breeding, and development.
Great diversities are found in terms of sexual reproduction among animals.
All those processes that maintain the body of an organism collectively are called as life processes.
