Eatable spices not only increase the taste and smell of food, they contain nutrients that increase our immunity and protect from any infection.

Spices are necessary for health. Their use strengthens immunity and reduces the risk of bad cold to any other complication of body. Spices should be used by everyone because they keep our body warm internally. Spices should be used in limited quantities in food because excessive intake of spices can harm our body systems.

Spices and their health benefits

Coriander: Green leaves of coriander are used for garnishing food especially the vegetables. Its seeds are powdered to use them as spices. The coriander powder not alone increases the taste of food; it increases the secretion of digestive juices and speeds up the digestion. It controls the secretion of hormones naturally.

Jeera: Jeera increases the taste and flavor of the food. It acts as purgative and helps in the piles disease. It helps in the digestion and absorption of food. It has the property of removing the morning sickness. It also helps in detoxicating liver.

Ginger: Ginger contains anti-inflammatory properties. It is a natural analgesic. It helps in the digestion and enables the digestive system to overcome the digestive problems. Ginger protects from flu and bad cold.

Garlic: Garlic is very important for good health. It helps as a natural antibiotic. It contains a chemical compound called alicin due to which garlic has specific smell. It controls blood pressure and cholesterol in blood. Researches reveal that garlic eating people have less chances of cancer.

Clove: According to Ayurveda clove is used for removing flu and problems of digestive system. If there is a problem of over eating, it can be removed by eating one two cloves. Clove helps in vomiting, indigestion, and lose motion. It contains anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. So, it is used in the problems of teeth and gums.

Black Pepper: The application of black pepper is very important for digestion and other needs of the body. It helps in flatulence and constipation. It controls the lipid level in blood and checks the absorption of cholesterol.

Hing: It has astringent flavor. Its use corrects the digestive system. It helps in the treatment of problems related to respiratory system like cough, bronchitis, asthma etc. It protects from the problems during menstruation in ladies.

Turmeric: It has many health values. The cucumin found in turmeric is a good anti-oxidant. It fights against free radicals and reduces the chances of diseases and process of ageing.

Green Chilies: It is full of anti-oxidants and protects body against free radicals. It contains vitamin A, B, C and strengthens immune system. It helps body in fighting against any type of infection.
